Who am I

My name is Tanya Barker and I have been happily married to Adam for 25 years and am a mother of 3 beautiful children, Bradley, Jarryd & Chloe. I have been in the travel industry for over 27 years. I have many travel awards for sales and service as well as customer service awards. My passion is to help plan and book my clients dream holidays.

Where it all started

2 years ago, I was asked to assist a work colleague with arranging a dance group tour to the USA as she was located in a different state. The experience was amazing, and the joy and friendships I gained from planning this tour and travelling with the group was everything I could have imagined and more. I then took over the management and escorted the groups from my colleague who left the industry. The positive and great feedback that I received enabled me to start my own niche dance travel business alongside my already successful leisure travel business to help arrange and escort more dance schools to achieve their goal and to see dancers and their families live their dream!

I am aware that there are other big companies who organise dance tours but there is room in this industry for us all. I would like to ensure you that I do my very best to offer you a personal group travel experience. I am there from the start to the end and I personally escort your tour so that this is a stress-free experience for the dance school owners and their participating families.

Disney Dance the Magic

I am very proud to say that because of my relationship and experience with working with Disney, I am one of a few approved travel companies around the world, who have a signed contract and working agreement with ‘Dance the Magic’. This enables me to get your dance school the once in a lifetime limited opportunity to perform in the Disney Street Parades in Disneyland California and Disneyworld Orlando. You can also experience the bright lights of Broadway and participate in Disney on Broadway packages which is particularly great for musical theatre groups.

I’ve got the USA covered

Why not consider dancing at Universal Studios, on the USS Intrepid Aircraft Carrier in NYC, attend dance workshops at Disneyland, Broadway Dance Centre in New York, The Base in Las Vegas or perform your own choreography at Disneyland or California Adventure Park through Disney Performing Arts.

Why not a Cruise Ship Dance Experience?

Another great option is to perform on stage and participate in dance workshops on Royal Caribbean or Carnival Cruise Ships ex Australian Ports or any other port in the world. This is a relaxing holiday for everyone as you only need to unpack once and all your food and entertainment and activities are included, not to mention the great ports of call on the cruise.

How about International Dance Competitions?

It doesn’t stop there; I can also arrange for you to participate in dance competitions in places such as Las Vegas or you can put on a show at Citadel Factory Outlets in Los Angeles!

I will look after your group from the start to the finish. From our initial consultation meeting where I will work with the Studio Principal to design the groups itinerary that will suit you, followed by an Information evening for the families. I also offer post travel arrangements so if required regular meetings with the group participants to organise any additional travel arrangements. A Pre-departure meeting will also be held at the Studio to go through the tour detail and provide the group with their documents. I will work with the school principal and take care of any auditions required for performances and registration for workshops and competitions.
